Read the label on the primer. Some primers say NOT to use TSP for cleaning. But yes, you should wash the wall before priming and painting, otherwise they won't stick. Especially if you are painting a kitchen. The grease on the walls will make the paint slide off. DO U NEED TO WASH WALLS BEFORE PAINTING AND PRIMING?
Wash with TSP.
Prime.
Paint.
